Our policies
Cancellation more than 6 weeks before the trip
Your deposit is refundable, minus a small administration fee. Refunds are processed within 7 business days.
Cancellation within 6 weeks of the trip
Payments are non-refundable, but your spot can be transferred to another person or moved to a future retreat date.
If NO MAD cancels the retreat
You receive a full refund of all payments, or can move to a future date at no extra cost.
Travel insurance
NO MAD does not provide travel insurance. We strongly recommend each guest arranges their own coverage for health, accidents and trip cancellation.
Ocean & safety
Surf sessions depend on weather and ocean conditions. Our coaches may adjust the schedule or spot for safety. Guests must inform us of any health condition before the trip.

Do I need to know how to surf?
No. All levels are welcome — our coaches split the group by level and adapt every session.
Can I come alone?
Absolutely. Most guests join solo — the retreat is designed to bring people together.
What's the difference between private and shared room?
Everything in the program is identical. The private room is just for you (or you and your partner); the shared room is split with other guests at a lower price.
Do you offer travel insurance?
No, we don't. Please arrange your own travel insurance before the trip.
What languages do you speak?
English, Portuguese and Spanish.
Can I transfer my spot?
Yes — to another person or to a future retreat date. Just let us know as early as possible.
